A QR code designed to be 3D printed too
Most QR code generators only give you an image. This tool goes a step further: it turns the same design you see on screen into a physical object, with the code embossed in a different color from the base, so you can print it directly on your 3D printer without painting or gluing anything on top.
The download format for printing is 3MF, the current standard for 3D printing. Unlike a plain STL, 3MF stores both colors of your design inside the file itself: when you open it in Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, OrcaSlicer, or Cura, each part of the object already appears assigned to its color, ready to print with two filaments, with an automatic changer (AMS, MMU), or with a manual color pause. If your printer is older and doesn't recognize 3MF, we also provide an STL download with the two pieces separated.
You can choose between three shapes designed for different uses: an angled table stand, ideal for a counter or restaurant table; a keychain with a ring hole, perfect for handing out at events or as a branded giveaway; and a wall plaque with holes for hanging, designed for a business or accommodation entrance. All three support a short text and an embossed emoji, in addition to the QR code itself.

Do I need to sign up or pay to use the tool?
No. You can generate and download your QR code, as an image or in 3D, without creating any account and without paying anything.
What is a 3MF file and why do you recommend it over STL?
3MF is the modern format used by current 3D printers (Bambu Studio, PrusaSlicer, Orca, Cura). Unlike STL, 3MF stores both colors of your design inside the file itself, so when you open it in your slicer each part already appears with its correct color.
My printer is older and doesn't recognize 3MF, what do I do?
Download the STL option (secondary link next to the 3D download button). You'll get a ZIP with two STL files, one for the base and one for the code relief, plus a text file explaining how to print them with two filaments.
Will the code still work if it has my logo or an emoji in the center?
Yes. As soon as you add a logo or emoji in the center, the tool automatically raises the QR error-correction level to the maximum (level H), designed precisely to tolerate covering part of the center. Even so, we recommend scanning it yourself with your phone before printing many copies.
What colors should I choose so the code scans well?
You need good contrast: a light base color and a dark code color (or the other way around). The tool calculates the contrast in real time and warns you if the combination you chose won't scan well.
What print size do I need?
It depends on how much information you put in the link: the longer it is, the more modules the code will have and the bigger you'll need to print it. The tool calculates the size of each module in millimeters live and warns you in red if it drops below 1.5 mm.
Can I use the link to my menu, my Instagram, or my wifi?
Yes, any link or text works: your restaurant's menu, your Instagram, your review page, your website, or your wifi details (with a dedicated mode that generates the correct format automatically).
Can I change the link later without reprinting the object?
Not directly: the 3D-printed QR code has the information embedded in the relief itself. If you expect to change the destination often, consider using a link shortener with an editable redirect instead.
